When Christians begin referring historically to the concept of Satan?
At first, it seems that Christians sought win people to the threat of condemnation or warning about the devil. This is simply not something they have appealed to potential converts, nor was it part its core philosophy. However, I am at a loss when the concept of Satan and hell came into the rhetoric of the mainstream Christian and writing. Please do not quote anything from the Bible, unless it can be placed within a historical framework, it is extremely difficult to date everything written in it.
The Catholic Church has declared as truth of faith in the existence of the devil at the Fourth Lateran Council: "We firmly believe and sincerely confess that the devil and other demons were created good by God, but they themselves are sick, "Not that the Church has discovered the existence of Satan. The only thing he has done has been define what is already contained in revelation.
