eHarmony, Match, Yahoo Personals, Matchmaker, JDate: Can someone with knowledge of these online services compare?
I've tried Match.com, with great success, but would like to know if any of the other online dating services worth the price? Are there any that I have not mentioned that are worthwhile?
I eHarmony. I signed up for three months (actually my subscription just ended today, I think). Although it was a bit more expensive than I would have liked, I think it was worthwhile. I was looking for a serious relationship, and shortly after you paid for the service, I met a guy there. We went through the guided communication (which sharing multiple-choice questions, short answers, and a list of Haves and Haves can not) before the open communication, where we will send a e-mail through the site. After doing that, I exchanged screennames and such … then the numbers … and finally found a couple of times. We're not officially together, but I like to call my "almost boyfriend":) I was very happy with my experience with eHarmony, and I would definitely recommend it anyone looking for a serious relationship (which is also willing to fork over the money for it).
