Have you ever given a lot of money to someone without proof they needed it?

I was watching Crime Watch yesterday and they were uncovering a scam where people go on online dating sites and convince people to send them money to “help them”.

my friend signed a long term contract to an association with some aim they claimed as “to help children”, by providing money to them monthly, from credit card. you know we are both overseas students from china, studying in Australia. our income is mainly from family support and we have to do labour work to earn more. we are very short economically.

But my kind-hearted friend still chose to help them.
however when one year passed and he wanted to cease the economic assist, he cannot contact to the association anymore and he is still losing money regularly in his credit card. i suggested to call police but he didn’t listen.
