Yes, that means that it didn’t screen for sex offenders before. And yes, that means that something horrible had to happen before they released that sex offenders might be a problem on an online dating site…
The decision comes after a Los Angeles woman sued Match.com after being raped by a guy she met on the dating site. However, Match.com’s president said that the “decision to use the registry was not in direct response to the lawsuit,” according to the Daily News.
At least it’s safe now. Or so they say.
