Have any single women actually found a long term relationship through online dating?
I was just wondering if any busy professionals have ever met their significant others through online dating sites? In other words, does it work or have women had bad experiences through online dating (such as misrepresentation, men lying about their marital status, just a lot of one time only dates etc.)
My experience with online dating has been both positive and negative. I am a busy professional woman and also a single parent so my time is limited. I met a few men on a few dating sites. Yes some misrepresented themselves. Some were married and trying to creep. I met one that didnt have a car wanted me to come and pick him up.(I do understand cars break down but he had other issues. )There are the men that want to see how many women they can concur( I wasnt the one)Then you had the ones that had women.(I had one woman call my cell ask me had I talked to her man)I finally met a man was very nice and we are still friends.He asked me to marry him. We had only been seeing each other for a few months when he asked me(I didnt take him serious..but he was) I thought he was just trying to say anything to be with me. In fact he just cooked my son a birthday dinner. Girl he is a excellent cook. We talked on the phone and he let me know what he was looking for (serious wanted to be married) We had endless conversations. We finally met in person(public place). He was a little shorter than he said on his profile but it was ok. We would see each other on the weekends. Our dates were always away from the house. I dont just bring any man around my sons to soon. After months of dating I felt comfortable inviting him to dinner to meet my sons. They were ok didnt show much emotion(you know how men can be). Anyway we did things as a family(another thing he was seeking). He would sit at the table with my sons while they did homework(He is pursuing his Masters). Everything was fine.Until..We took things further. I notice things werent progressing so I asked him what was the problem..He has health issues which prevented him from getting aroused. Other than that he was a good man(a little noisey at times ). That was one of the hardest things I had to endure.
