Buy tickets from Ottawa to Victoria?
I need help. My friend and I have to buy two tickets to Victoria BC ON Ottawa for the next month for flexible dates. We will travel together, they need to return tickets, and can fly to any time of day / week. We will spend at least a week, possibly two. The problem is not having a credit card. Travel agents do cost more? Can not find good deals? Airfare is our main cost here and want to save as much as we can, and I've seen online rates from 200 to 1200 for each round and do not want to get scammed. We have never traveled alone before.
Hello! As you and your friend does not have credit cards that you can not book your flights "in line". You have 2 options, but either way you go, look at the flight details and choose the flights they want to follow before doing this. Note that prices change every day, but if you check before going to the agency or airport you know what to expect price wise unless it runs out before you can get there. 1) Travel Agent 2) Go to the airport and book a ticket with the company airline directly. Calling the phone lines of airline bookings will not work, it will require a credit card as payment. Make a Book directly with the airline ignores the brokers and "service charges", an agency may collect. Booking with a travel agent helps the agent, because they earn a commission on your ticket. My husband just bought a ticket from Edmonton to Toronto to go directly to the airport and reservations ladies checkin entries WestJet. Thus we were able to pay with our debit card, choose our flights and be done with it. Your airline options for this trip are Air Canada and WestJet. Both will likely be around the same prices, but you will get better service with WestJet. Good luck and enjoy your trip!
