please help, i dont know what else to do?
my mom met a “millionaire” on a dating website and he asks her for money and now he traveled to africa on a business trip and is now stuck there, and his son died, and all this crap. trust me, i know its a scam..my mom believe this man is real and pays so much money to talk to him, and she gave him all her credit card information. my whole family KNOWS he’s not legit, but my mom is so desperate she can’t realize he isn’t real..i’ve showed my mom online dating scam websites and she still doesn’t believe me..i don’t know what else to do..please help!!
and this has been happening for almost 2 years. no matter how many times my family or even strangers talk to my mom about this telling her it isn’t legit she still thinks he is
& the police won’t do anything..oh and i did background checks on him..EVEN PAID TO DO THEM..and there are no records of him ANYWHERE
There are scam warner websites that will have more suggestions as to what you can do. Have you talked to her bank? Alert them that you believe she is the victim of fraud, sometimes a bank will put a “hold” on a victim’s credit cards, debit cards, checking accounts due to suspicious pattern of withdrawals.
