Charismatic/Pentacostal Christians ….?
I heard from a friend, who is dating a Charismatic Christian, that said her boyfriend relayed to her that Charismatic Christians don’t believe in Satan — but what I’m reading online says different. Was wondering if any of you could actually enlighten me as to which is true?
A Charismatic is someone who believes that there is an experience of receiving the Holy Spirit subsequent to Christian conversion, which is usually accompanied by physical manifestations (of which the ‘gift of tongues’ is most common), and who further believes that this experience and the exercise of ‘spiritual gifts’ are the key to spiritual effectiveness
I think most Charismatics “do” believe in Satan, but he is a small, unimportant, and largely metaphorical part of their belief system. The important thing is the Gospel, the happiness of witnessing for Christ and the good news He brought through the Holy Spirit.
