Dining in a "semi-luxury" restaurant in Toronto?
Hey, I'm thinking of going to an appointment in a "semi-luxury" restaurant, the problem that have never been in one before. The question is: when you reach the restaurant is to be expected for an appetizer, entree and dessert + wine? I am not asking this to know if I can get out of going to a restaurant without paying too much, I'm not sure what the "rules" in fancy restaurants. Also, I'm thinking spend a few 150CAD for the 2 of us, and looking for a non-Asian cuisine (perhaps in Italy). Can you recommend a place in Toronto (downtown or south of Y & E). I am told that check out the CN Tower Restaurant 360, but I've also heard it could go much over my budget. Any contribution is greatly appreciated. Greetings.
No, not expected to all on the menu. You can only order your food and water to drink if that's all you want. Many people do. I just returned from Toronto and made the mistake of going to Ruth's Criss. I knew it would be expensive, but OMG! Do not go there. If you have to go there would have to order carefully without appetizer or dessert. They hope to share the great side dishes, so you should not order dishes individually.
