Britney Spears vs. Rebecca St. James debate Morality?
An overzealous Christian rock star Rebecca St. James tries to pass judgment on Britney Spears, for her “immorality”, and some how, tries to pass herself off as more “moral” and the ideal girl. Whereas the Bible never specifically says how long to wear your skirt, it does give some other guidelines on women’s dress. The New Testament commands women to dress “shamefacedly” (I think it’s in the book of 1 Timothy…no Bible here, sorry). This basically means not to dress in a way that would make a guy want you.
The Bible also says that a women’s emphasis shouldn’t be on her apparel but rather a meek and quiet spirit.
The Bible also says not to do things (whether right or wrong) that would cause another person to sin. If you, as a women, dress in a manner that makes a guy have wrong thoughts about you, then you are sinning. Of course some guys will have perverted thoughts anyway, but you don’t help that if you wear skin tight clothes or a skirt up to your butt.
